An interesting article from Hannah Piterman, Monash University Associate Professor that proposes "“Developing Asian literacy is a journey that involves new levels of engagement and understanding. It requires the honing of skills of rapport, cross cultural understanding, language skills and curiosity to learn about our neighbours and invite them to learn about us".
The emphases of the Global perspective framework (which can be downloaded from the global education website: http://www.globaleducation.edu.au/) encompasses the ‘Asia and Australia’s engagement with Asia cross curricula priority in the Australian Curriculum and the general capabilities Piterman has referred to in this article.
